Contest of Technical Youth Projects among Secondary School Students of Far Abroad Countries “Initiative”

Penza State Technological University (PenzGTU) is inviting school leavers from far abroad countries to take part in a competition of technical youth projects “Initiative”.
Present your project in one of the following nominations:
   – computer science (informatics) and engineering;
   – biotechnical systems and technologies;
   – applied informatics; 
   – information systems and technologies;
   – energy-and resource saving processes
and get the opportunity to study at PenzGTU on preferential terms!

The contest is held in two stages:
1st stage is correspondence: May 20th - July 20th 2021;
2nd stage is intramural with the use of distant technologies (Zoom, Skype): July 26th – July 31st 2021;

At the correspondence stage you should make a query to with the description of your project in the form of presentation/video(up to 3 min).  add some information about yourself and a copy of a document, proving your status as a student of a particular educational institution or a copy of your General Certificate of Education (GCE).

Participants who pass the intramural stage, are to present their project distantly (Zoom, Skype) to the contest committee. The committee evaluates the project in the following criteria:

  • relevance of the research;
  • academic novelty;
  • practical importance;
  • commercialization prospects;
  • experience and qualification of the participant(personal interest, scientific groundwork of the project, public speech).

Winners and 2nd and 3rd prizes awardees receive the opportunity of preferential training at PenzGTU:
1st prize
– 100% tuition fees discount for one semester;
2nd prize  - 30% tuition fees discount for one semester;
3rd prize  - 20% tuition fees discount for one semester.

The participants can take advantage of the discount on training in one of the educational programmes taught in English:
09.03.01 Computer Science (Informatics) and Engineering;
18.03.02 Energy-and Resource Saving Processes in Chemical Technology, Petrochemistry and Biotechnology.

The contest starts on May 20th 2021. The contest results will be published until August 5th.
